The child/pet wears a waist band which contains an acoustic transmitter. Placed in the pool is a receiver device that houses a hydrophone which is programmed to be triggered by a pre determined fequency. It looks like a gum guard for both rows of teeth made out of a stiff rubber. Between where it fits over the gums are hundreds of small, vertically aligned filament s which are soft enough to fold in the bite but stiff enough to fit between the gaps in the teeth.
